Michel Terpins comes from a family that can only be referred to as legendary in sporting terms this is due to the achievement of different family members such as his brother Rodrigo Terpins who during the 22nd edition of the Sertões Rally took 7th place in the category Prototypes T1 and his father Jack Terpins or as commonly nicknamed Jacko was a basketball legend in Brazil playing in the 70’s before retiring into the world of business and real estate His father always loved sports and encouraged his sons to participate in them as he knew first hand the potential of sports in Brazil.His sons developed a keen interest in rallying and by the time they were young adults they were already competing in championships. Michel Terpins began his in the cross country rallying championship as a rider he became very proficient and despite lacking a lot of experience compared to other riders he would achieve a lot of success in the competition by the time he left the championships in 2002 he was a Brazilian ross country rallying champion and was then elected as chairman of the board that oversees the competition in Brazil. He switched to motoring where he joined his brother and they formed the Bull Sertões Rally Team together they were able to hone their skills using various cars over a period of time before settling for the T-Rex. Michel Terpins, 40, and Maykel Justo, 37, of the Bull Sertões Rally Team, paired to participate in the 25th edition of the Sertões Rally. they were able to win two of the three stages of the race in Prototypes T1 and it meant that they were in the lead in the category accumulated points as well as the top 5 fastest in the competition, settling for position 4 overall with a time of 11hrs 45m and 23s. In the third stage which covered a course from Santa Terezinha de Goiás to Aruanã which was 306 kilometers, the duo was forced to slow down, due to some mechanical problems. They were however still able to complete the race as position 7 overall.
