The Andy Wirth Era: Reno Tahoe Airport Board’s New Chairman

Andy Wirth, CEO of Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, took his seat as a new chairman of the nine member Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board July 9 along with 3 other new board members Lisa Gianoli, Jenifer Rose, and Jessica Sferrazza. As reported by the Sierra Sun, Mr. Wirth said “New people will bring new ideas that can help take our airport to a higher level.” He said, “We are adding very experienced and talented people who are dedicated to enhancing travel to and from our region.” 

Mr Wirth has been President and CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings since 2010 when he took over former CEO Nancy Cushing. He was a appointed to the board in July 2013 by the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitor’s Authority. He has more than 25 years of experience in the mountain resort and management industry including working with various airlines to establish more flight routes for resorts located in Utah, Colorado and Canada. Mr. With is honored to be representing the RSCVA and serve as chairman of an organization that he believes is vital to the regional economy. ““Enhancing air service is vital to the ski industry, gaming and business community, and I am looking forward to working with a great staff and board to attract more flights to our region,” Wirth was quoted as saying. 

Also joining Mr. Wirth: Lisa Gianoli who was appointed by Washoe County and owns a government relations consulting firm. Jenifer Rose is the CEO of It’s My Community Store, a business to business office supply company. Ms. Sferrazza is a consultant to local businesses through JESSCONVLLC, the state wide company she founded.
