Dr. Avi Weisfogel Encourages Others to Share Smiles Through Charity

Dr. Avi Weisfogel earned his DDS from New York University College of Dentistry (after receiving his BA in Psychology and Biology from Rutgers University) and has since led a successful career. In 1999, Dr. Weisfogel established Old Bridge Dental Care, his dental practice, and for more than 15 years he managed the practice and received recognition from the community, even being designated Best Dentist for a number of years.

After learning how beneficial the right dentist can be for those suffering from sleep disorders, Weisfogel founded Healthy Heart Sleep in 2010, Owner Unlimited Sleep Patient in 2012, and Dental Sleep Masters in 2014. As owner of Dental Sleep Masters, Dr. Avi Weisfogel helps dentists identify patients who could potentially be at risk of suffering from sleep disorders and secures treatment for these patients.
Such drive for bringing others back to health obviously shows passion and deep levels of empathy so it should come as no shock that Dr. Weisfogel is a philanthropist. His current campaign to raise funds for Operation Smile is especially admirable, considering the life-changing work Operation Smile is responsible for. Founded in 1982, the charitable organization has provided more than 220,000 surgical procedures for children and young adults born with cleft palate and similar facial deformities, free of charge. This international charity’s thousands of credentialed medical volunteers have origins in more than 80 countries, and they train local medical professionals in their partner countries as well in order to provide quality treatment in their communities when Operation Smile’s volunteers aren’t currently operating in their region.
Every three minutes, a child is born with a cleft palate or cleft lip and these deformities often lead to malnourishment and alienation, so support of Operation Smile by compassionate people like Dr. Weisfogel is vital to these children and their families.
