Celebrated Dentist Avi Weisfogel Supporting Operation Smile

Avi Weisfogel, a notable dentist from New Jersey, is doing some great philanthropic work helping out a non-profit he is passionate about. His GoFundMe campaign to help Operation Smile is live and will raise $2,000. Operation Smile helps children in other countries with affordable surgeries mostly in the facial region with cleft lip and palate surgery being the most popular. Avi’s heart lies with Operation Smile as their goals align to provide children with the best surgical care possible no matter background or financial situation.

Operation Smile was the brain-child of William and Kathleen Magee, medical professionals who went on a mission trip to the Philippines in the 1980s. The trip was to help children with cleft lip and palates. The need was so great, and there were so many other children to help, the Magee’s returned to the philippines and Operation Smile was Born. Starting out with only a few medical professionals and volunteers, the charity has grown to thousands of doctors and nurses that provide their time, expertise, money and supplies. The operation works with local health organizations to provide the best care possible and the best recovery for every patient.
Avi Weisfogel has been a celebrated dentist in his home town of Old Bridge, New Jersey for years. After graduating from Rutgers and New York University College of Dentistry, he bought the practice of Old Bridge Dental Care. Returning to his passion years later, Avi opened Dental Sleep Masters where he treats sleep apnea patients by creating dental appliances for them. He is also the owner and chief lecturer at Owner Unlimited Sleep Patients where he shares his expertise on the combined fields of dentistry and sleeping disorders.
Avi Weisfogel’s journey with sleep patients has been long and hard. Finding patients was difficult when there are doctors who specifically treat sleeping disorders. After many long months studying and perfecting a business plan, Avi was seeing hundreds of sleep patients a month. Not wanting to maintain all the glory, Avi decided he wanted to teach other dentists his secret, sharing his success. Teaching dentists can take two days and continual support along the way, Avi remarks on his website, but he is so proud of his achievements he wants others to share in his success treating sleep patients. His GoFundMe for Operations Smile is just another way to share his success.
